Maybe some of you are saying, “What is that all about?” Well according to the American Cancer Society, Liver cancer is a cancer that starts in the liver. To understand liver cancer, it helps to know about the normal structure and function of the liver. So let’s see,

The liver is one of the most complex organs in the human body and it performs more than 500 functions. Some of the liver’s most important functions include:
-digesting proteins and fats
-removing toxins (poisons) from the body
-helping to control blood clotting (thickening)
-releasing bile, a liquid that breaks down fats and aids digestion
Liver cancer is a serious condition because it can disrupt these functions or cause them to fail completely, which could prove fatal.

Let’s see how researcher get involved in helping liver cancer patients:

Well, as you can see the researcher are doing what they do best to find ways to interfere so that they can heal the unhealthy “liver”. Now, you must know that you are also responsible for that liver, your diet depends on it. We also have a role to play in keeping our liver healthy. We need to start by eliminating alcohol from our diet. Alcohol can damage or destroy liver cells.The liver breaks down alcohol so it can be removed from your body.
